Marlee's Class ~ Mothers Day Celebration

Last year when Marlee was in 2nd grade with Senor Penhollow they did this Mothers Day Celebration and it was a lot of fun. So I was excited to receive Marlee's invitation to this years Mother's Day Celebration with her 3rd grade teacher Senora Dail. I think it's so thoughtful for Marlee's teacher (who I absolutely adore) to go to all the effort. They served coffee, tea and water along with doughnuts and pastries (Marlee was sad all I wanted was water). Each child writes a poem about their Mother and then a few are chosen to read/present them in front of everyone. Marlee did it last year and this year. Of course since it is in Spanish didn't totally get it until Marlee translated it for me but just watching her read it and being so excited for me to come so she could share that with me is just so touching. After Doug and and I were married and we were trying to have a baby I would always pray that H.F. would send me a beautiful little red headed, blue eyed baby girl. Well, He granted my wish ~ Mar's hair is now more strawberry blond and although she can be a drama queen at times I am just so grateful to have such a wonderful daughter. She is the kindest, sweetest most thoughtful girl I know and I am so proud of her. She is so smart and is such a good friend to so many. She is becoming quite the young lady.
