My Lil Ian man is sick with Strep Throat. We went to Urgent Care last night and before they even swabbed his throat the nurse said, "he smells streppy". I had mentioned to Doug a couple of times that I thought his breath and nose smelled really bad. I was even thinking sinus infection but no other real signs were evident. He had spiked a 104 fever early around 3-4am Sunday morning. He just layed around all day and didn't eat or drink anything. Then around 6pm he said his throat hurt and it was like da! The light bulb went on-Doug and I looked at each other and said, "Strep Throat". So we bundled him up and off he went. Dr. Puscas gave him Penicillin which I am highly allergic to. It tastes so nasty even flavored. He's had only two doses so far and this morning he's broken out with a bit of a rash on his face. So I called Ian's pediatrician~ugh! Sometimes Protocol drives me crazy. Don't get me wrong I understand it's for a reason but it still frustrates me. So long story short they can't just prescribe a different antibiotic they say-they have to see him. Good grief people! I don't have the luxury of just up and go to the Dr.'s~I have kids at my house and can't leave-even with my mom here we have to be in ratio. So then I make a big stink about it and knowing that my son needs a different medication. So the nurse consents and tells me the Dr. will call me. Does anyone ever get frustrated like this?
Well, anyway we would like to thank our little local stores for helping Ian feel better. I never liked Walgreens until one was built here in West Salem. It sure is convenient now. Jamba was the only thing Ian would eat last night and this morning. Guess you could say we felt like our ox was in the mire. :)

Oh poor punkin! I hope he starts feeling better...I hate getting strep throat and I bet it is even worse when your child gets it! I can definitely wait for all that to start!
