~Going Green~
It's been fun getting our kiddo's to be more conscientious about turning off lights, turning off the water when we brush our teeth and much more. Marlee especially has really taken to this because at school this year she has been involved in raising money to buy straws that are sent to Africa-the children can put the straws into disgusting water and drink from the straw because it filters it and clear water comes out. It's pretty amazing. Also when she comes home from school these days she gets on the computer to play games. Her favorite game wins points that are actually turned into rice kernels that are then donated to third world countries. I have shared with her many stories regarding my mission in the Philippines and just how much people depend on rice to feed their kids. The new rationing of rice that's been going on is scary because I know that many people I know have probably been affected by it. So as I ramble on I am just happy to know that we are doing what we can here to make our earth a greener better earth.
