Seeking Simplicity in Salem...

Today I have sorted through 25+ garbage bags that came over from the old house weeks ago. I have been fighting a bit of a tummy bug so I sat on the coach sorting for hours. Since we have lived without all this other "Stuff" I really just want to chuck it all in the garbage. But I have a little fear of chucking a bag that has something that means something in it. I guess that is truly the definition of a "clutter bug".

Marlee is in our neighborhood Girls Club. It's called the "Animal Lovers Girls Club". They are going to be performing their own rendition of "Freckle Juice". Because there are eleven girls we had to add a few extra parts and Marlee is playing the part of Anastasia. She is pretty excited. Because our new house has 3 decks in the backyard we are going to have the play here on Sept. 8th. This will be the club's second play as they did one last summer, but Marlee's first.

Ian of course would love to be doing all of the cool things Marlee gets to do. He doesn't have a whole lot of little boy friends ~ hopefully that will change once Kindergarten starts in a couple of weeks. Daddy and Ian fished on the WII for a while today so that Ian could do something fun that he wanted to do. Lately Ian has been so cuddly and loves to have these laughing fests with us. It's pretty darn cute ~ the last one was last night while the three of us were playing Rock, Paper, Scissors. Marlee had a High School Musical 2 Birthday/Slumber Party for Paige to go to last night. Anyway, every time we would make our choice of rock, paper, scissor Doug and I ended up always choosing the same. So Ian would just die laughing. It was fun to spend quality time having fun with Ian and doing what he wanted to do.

Doug is gearing up for Power camp that starts Monday. He is the Administrator for this so he has been busy planning and getting everything ready. This is the third year of him running this camp. It's for all of the incoming 6th graders. It's half days and the kids get to chose from 6 different classes to take. Arts & crafts, volleyball, foods, etc. It let's them get to know each other and some of the 6th grade teachers and start to feel comfortable in the Middle School. Doug as always, does a great job! I'm proud of you babe!!!

Happy Birthday to Dad/Grandpa B. and to my Brother (& Uncle) Sean. Hope that you have all had a great Birthday today. Lot's of love to you both!!!
